Puff pastry pizza

When I bought the pastry, I was certain I’d top it with red onion, potato, goat cheese and herbs as an appetizer for a party I was invited to. Got the cheese and herbs but forgot to buy potatoes! Several weeks later, with little to go on in the fridge, I used homemade red sauce, a few teaspoons of ricotta, some cubed salame and fresh basil. Pretty good results, but I think the buttery crust would be better dressed with my original idea.
