Eataly in Manhattan

According to today’s NYT article, “In the spring Eataly will open in a two-level, 10,000-square-foot space in the new Centria building at 18 West 48th Street.”

“Eataly’s goal,” Mr. Farinetti said, “is to make high-quality Italian foods available to everyone, at sustainable prices and in an informal environment where they can shop, taste and learn.”

While the Manhattan Eataly will reportedly have few educational programs, I’m hoping that will change as demand grows. Last week Guido Gobbino gave a chocolate workshop at the Eataly in Torino. 🙂
