On the night before the wedding, fourteen of us went to the Golf Club for a celebratory dinner. The antipasti were served in a buffet — so many choices! And, as you can see, many of them were more than the typical appetizers. What could a maximizer do? Fill half the plate with octopus, of course! Add some zucchini in carpione, an ‘arancino’ (deep fried rice ball), an olive ascolano, a sardine, a rotolo of frittata and some fresh cheese. Who needed the pasta that followed?
