Whole wheat penne with sweet sausage ragu

Picked up two links of sweet fennel sausage at Carlino’s this weekend, and decided to cook it up with last week’s leftover red sauce and a fresh tomato from the garden. Used the last of the whole wheat penne as well. It was quite delicious, but not what I was craving. Oh well. Life mimics art … or is it the other way around?
