Riso in bianco

Arborio rice cooked in a bit of olive oil, salt and water, served with microzested parmigiano reggiano (the real stuff Carla and Alberto brought from Italy). A simple comfort food. Tastes like Italy. Not a whole lot more to say. 

Tomorrow I’m off to NYC to meet up with my sorellina Simona, who’s in the city for work. Wonder if I should take her a taste of comfort from American culture? Chocolate chip cookies or brownies, perhaps?
