Maglio cioccolato italiano

Tonight I needed a taste of Italy, and remembered a small box of chocolate covered orange peels I had bought while travelling in Puglia with Carlo a few months ago. We got these from Maglio, an upscale chocolate shop in Maglie, a small town near Carlo’s hometown in Salento. The company has the same old story as most family-owned businesses in Italy. This one has been making chocolate since 1875. The chocolates are delicious, of course. They’ve certainly mastered their craft.

The little town that the store was in was quite lovely too. Here are a few views that caught my eye:
